Task 1
The skill I need to work on the most is getting to class on time. I have an issue with making to class on time because I'm either talking to my friends or waking up late. I know these are bad habits that should be broken as soon as possible but so many times I just seem to forget. If I worked harder and really think about how I'm missing the beginning of class I would be better at this. This semester I'm working very hard on this problem because I don't want too many tardies or absents.
Task 2
Taking Notes in Class: 1. Be prepared for class with plenty of pens and paper
2. Write fast so that you have important facts
3. Rewrite the notes after class
4. Use abbrevations to speed up your pace
5. Listen when the teachers gives hints of when to write
Procrasitation: 1. Stop putting off a task
2. If I start something finish it
3. Don't give up once I find it difficult
4. Don't get distracted
5. Don't work on more than one thing at a time
Task 3
For my service learning I'm planning to work at differnt police departments. My duties for this job will be to file paperwork and help around the department as needed. I chose to work at police stations because I'm focusingh on a career in criminal justice. I know their will be a lot to learn, even though there's alot to do. I haven't started yet but I'm scheduled to begin either Jan.30 or Feb.5. Even if I don't start this week I don't think I will be far behind because I can make up my hours on Fridays and during the spring break holiday.

Week Two: 10 Goals of Future and Placement Summary
Task 3
I.
Done with college
Already have my career fully started
Married
Purchased a home and cars
Planning to have a kid
Money saved for future costs
Traveling as much as possible
Taking care of me and my family
Getting another degree (maybe)
Relaxing and enjoying life

Keep my grades on track
Look at different stocks and how they may be later
Save money
Look at colleges of my interest
Think of the different types of home I could afford
Decide on different traveling destinations
Make a goal list
A location I would want to live
Another major I could go back to school for in another 10 years

Task 4
I was placed at VistaCare for my placement but after visiting the site I had a change of heart. I didn’t like the idea that the volunteer coordinator explained her way of us helping her seem as if we were going to be her maids. I know that all things in life aren’t going to be the way you want but this is a career that I want to pursue in the future and hope to like it. The idea of cleaning up her mess wasn’t my idea of being a pediatric nurse so I decided to look for another placement. Now I’m focusing on criminal justice as a career.
Some teachers think that wasn’t a good choice but I can make up my hours on Fridays and still catch up. I do plan to have a placement that I will enjoy very soon however. I do feel that the placement should be at a location that we would feel comfortable with. I do look forward to finding a great place that I will like.

Week One: 7 Habits: Task1 & Task2
Task One
I need the most improvement on skill #7, which is Realizing Importance in Communication. I have no problem with speaking well but when it comes to writing well I’m not an expert. I always want to send a positive message to everyone when I leave an area, but if writing is required it leaves me feeling nervous. I always try and think of proper words when writing an important letter or assignment but I never quite accomplish that task. If I had a different mind of vocabulary, I think it would help tremendous.
I need to learn to find different ways to express simple words and make them more accurate for the topic I’m doing. For example, if I’m writing a business letter I need a lot of help in thinking of words to impress the reader. I know that writing isn’t always the best way to make a good impression but its one. You should always want to send a positive message without speaking, but that seems to be my weak area. If I could learn to focus more on the situation then I think I could get a lot out of what I’m doing and that would mean my writing skills I know it would help me a lot at Classic City High School.

Be a Leader, Not a Follower- Make someone want to look up to you and your achievements in life and not the negative aspect of life
This would be a positive contribution to Classic City High School because every student should want to be a role model for someone else, whether younger or older. I would always want to have someone look up to me. This would help in class because if you are accomplishing great goals others around you would want to do the same. Its a good task for every age group who wants to be somebody special one day.
